Planning a mass raise? The R-Carbonemys raising calculator breaks down food needs per phase so nothing goes to waste. Expect ~139 minutes of active care during the Baby phase before it graduates to trough-feeding as a Juvenile.
Adjust the dino count to calculate food for multiple R-Carbonemys babies at once - essential for batch breeding operations. Match your food choice to your play schedule - longer spoil timers mean less babysitting.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.
After a successful mate, the R-Carbonemys lays a fertilized egg. Incubation temperature must stay between 30°C and 34°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 1 hour and 14 minutes.
After hatching or birth, the baby R-Carbonemys matures at a medium pace, reaching adulthood in about 23 hours and 8 minutes at 1x maturation. Hand-feeding is required until 10% maturation. After that, a Feeding Trough handles the rest.
Mutations can add +2 levels to any stat and change colors. Stacking mutations across generations is the key to min-maxed breeding lines. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
The R-Carbonemys's growth progresses through three stages: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~139 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~9h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~12h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Imprinting during maturation provides permanent stat bonuses. At 100% imprint, the R-Carbonemys gains 30% bonus damage and resistance when ridden by the imprinter. Keep various kibble types on hand, as imprint requests are randomized between cuddles, walks, and kibble feeding.
The R-Carbonemys is a tamable, herbivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It belongs to the Variant category.
Melee starts at 105% - solid damage output that scales with level-ups. With 679 base Health, the R-Carbonemys is quite durable. With 200 base Stamina, the R-Carbonemys has average stamina. Weight capacity starts at 270, giving it a solid weight pool.
The R-Carbonemys is a knockout tame: apply enough torpor to knock it out, then place food in its inventory. Feed it Regular Kibble for the fastest tame and highest effectiveness bonus.
After taming, the R-Carbonemys is valued for its harvesting efficiency, collecting key resources faster than most tools. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 30°C–34°C temperature window. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.64 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
