Pachy Overview

In ARK: Survival Ascended, Pachy occupies the harvester niche - is primarily used for resource harvesting, excelling at gathering specific materials. As a herbivore, it responds to knockout taming - favoring Simple Kibble - and ships with 100% base Melee Damage, giving it solid damage output. Breeding pairs lay fertilized eggs requiring 24°C–28°C incubation, after which juveniles reach adulthood requiring significant patience. Once tamed it harvests Hide, Raw Meat more efficiently than most player tools. Players target Pachy once they need a reliable workhorse beyond the starter mounts.

Harvesting a dead Pachy yields Hide, Raw Meat. The corpse has 120 harvest health, allowing multiple hits before it's fully depleted.

Different tools yield different quantities - check the table below to pick the right tool for the resource you need. Generally, a Pick favors meat while a Hatchet favors hide and secondary materials.

Incoming damage to the Pachy is modified by 13 different type-specific multipliers. It resists 7 damage types (up to 60% reduction) and is vulnerable to 6 (up to +120% incoming damage). See the full breakdown in the table below. Values under 100% indicate resistance, above 100% indicate weakness.

Aiming matters - the Pachy has 1 hitbox region with distinct damage modifiers. Avoid the Head (0.13x) - it's the most armored zone.

The Pachy can damage: Thatch. It can break through Thatch and Wood, so upgrade to Stone at minimum for protection.
