Nunatak (Alpha) is a massive flying carnivore and boss creature. It unleashes devastating ice-based area attacks from the air, including Ice Bomb and Ice Spikes. This creature is used in boss fights and large-scale combat scenarios, where its ability to spawn minions and control space is critical. It can be airlifted by Quetzal or Karkinos for fast deployment.
The Nunatak (Alpha) does not serve as a gatherer or transport mount. Its role is strictly combat-oriented, leveraging aerial dominance and AoE damage.
Nunatak (Alpha) does not currently spawn on any ARK: Survival Ascended map, or spawn data is not yet available.

Nunatak (Alpha) takes +400% damage from spike walls, making them extremely effective. It also takes +120% from instant damage sources like Mining Drill hits. It is highly resistant to ice projectiles, taking -100% damage from them. Melee attacks with impact effects and small turrets are also ineffective, reduced by -50%. Focus on explosion-based or metal melee weapons for maximum damage.

The head is a crit zone, taking 1.5× damage. Aim for the head during combat to maximize damage output. Other body zones have no special modifiers.
Spike walls deal +400% damage to Nunatak (Alpha), making them ideal for perimeter defense.
Explosive damage is highly effective, exploiting a +50% weakness.
Melee attacks using metal weapons deal +55% damage, especially effective in close combat.
Ice-based attacks deal no damage due to full resistance; avoid using ice turrets or dinos.
The Ice Bomb attack has a 290m range and 15-second cooldown, enabling long-range battlefield control.
It can summon minions every 60 seconds, adding sustained pressure in combat.
