Breeding the Megaraptor produces fertilized eggs that require careful temperature control. Incubation temperature must stay between 30°C and 34°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 1 hour and 39 minutes.
After hatching or birth, the baby Megaraptor matures requiring significant patience, reaching adulthood in about 1 day and 22 hours at 1x maturation. The most labor-intensive part is the baby phase (0–10% maturation) when it can't use a Feeding Trough yet.
Offspring inherit parental stats and have a small chance to mutate, gaining +2 levels in a random stat. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
Maturation has three phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~278 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~19h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~23h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Imprint bonuses are significant: a fully imprinted Megaraptor gains 30% extra damage and damage resistance with its imprinter mounted. You'll be asked to cuddle, walk, or feed specific kibble at regular intervals during maturation.

Use the raising calculator to plan food requirements for raising Megaraptor babies through all three growth stages. The Baby phase (0–10%) takes ~278 minutes and is the most hands-on, requiring direct feeding or a Maewing.
The multiplier feature helps plan large-scale Megaraptor raises by totaling food across all babies. Consider food spoilage when choosing what to feed: Kibble lasts days, while Raw Meat spoils in minutes.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.
ARK: Survival Ascended features the Megaraptor as a tamable, carnivore creature that survivors will encounter in the wild. It belongs to the DMG category.
Its base Stamina of 350 gives it good endurance. Its base Melee Damage sits at 100%, giving it respectable melee power. At 350 base HP, the Megaraptor is reasonably durable. A base Weight of 325 means a solid weight pool.
As a tame, the Megaraptor is primarily used for resource harvesting, excelling at gathering specific materials. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 30°C–34°C temperature window. A wild Megaraptor is worth 18 base experience when killed. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.26 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
