Manticore
Boss
Overview
The Manticore is a boss-class flyer and carnivore. It unleashes devastating ranged poison attacks from the air, including the long-range QuillAttack. It can airlift smaller mounts such as Ankylosaurus or Castoroides in its claws for fast deployment.
The Manticore is used in high-level combat and boss fights due to its high damage output and aerial dominance.
Spawn Locations
Manticore does not currently spawn on any ARK: Survival Ascended map, or spawn data is not yet available.
Taming
The Manticore cannot be tamed.

Damage Resistances
The Manticore has a +400% weakness to spike walls, making them extremely effective. It also takes +120% damage from instant-damage sources. Conversely, it has strong resistances to mining drills and Tek pistols, reducing damage by 100% and 82% respectively. Melee attacks with impact effects and small turrets are half as effective.

The QuillAttack has a 40-meter range and a 5-second cooldown, useful for kiting. PoisonBall_Air_Vs_Air deals 8 damage with a 4-second cooldown, effective against other flyers. It takes 400% more damage from spike walls, ideal for defensive setups. The Manticore can carry an Ankylosaurus in its claws during combat for mobile support.
