Planning a mass raise? The Mammoth raising calculator breaks down food needs per phase so nothing goes to waste. Expect ~494 minutes of active care during the Baby phase before it graduates to trough-feeding as a Juvenile.
Adjust the dino count to calculate food for multiple Mammoth babies at once - essential for batch breeding operations. Match your food choice to your play schedule - longer spoil timers mean less babysitting.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.
Instead of laying eggs, the Mammoth carries its young through a gestation period. Gestation takes approximately 8 hours at default rates.
The baby Mammoth takes approximately 3 days and 10 hours to fully mature at default rates - at a glacially slow pace - plan for a multi-day commitment. During the baby phase (0–10%), hand-feed it directly. From 10% onward (juvenile), it can eat from a Feeding Trough.
Mutations can add +2 levels to any stat and change colors. Stacking mutations across generations is the key to min-maxed breeding lines. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
Maturation has three phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~494 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~33h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~41h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Don't skip imprinting - each successful imprint boosts the Mammoth's stats, and hitting 100% grants a 30% combat bonus when the imprinter rides it. Keep various kibble types on hand, as imprint requests are randomized between cuddles, walks, and kibble feeding.
The Mammoth, a tamable, herbivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended, is a notable presence across multiple maps. It belongs to the Support category.
Dealing 100% base Melee Damage, the Mammoth brings solid damage output to the table. At 1,020 base HP, the Mammoth is solidly tanky. With 330 base Stamina, the Mammoth has moderate endurance. It carries 500 base Weight - an enormous weight pool.
You'll need to knock the Mammoth unconscious before taming it. Tranquilizers are the standard approach. Feed it Superior Kibble for the fastest tame and highest effectiveness bonus.
After taming, the Mammoth is primarily used for resource harvesting, excelling at gathering specific materials. Breeding is via live birth rather than eggs, simplifying the process. Defeating one in the wild grants 8 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.62 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
