Taming an Iguanodon requires knocking it out. The best food is Simple Kibble, which provides the fastest taming effectiveness. Mejoberry also works well if kibble is unavailable. Use a Bola, Bear Trap, or Plant Species Y to immobilize it before sedation. Effective KO weapons include the Bow with Tranq Arrows, Crossbow, or Longneck Rifle. The process takes about 13 minutes. Killing an Iguanodon yields Hide and Raw Meat. The Hatchet yields the most Hide, while the Pick favours Raw Meat.
Estimates based on game-extracted data (weights, quantities, harvest multipliers, damage type chains). Each harvest event independently rolls each resource - higher weight = higher drop chance. Actual yields vary with RNG.
While mounted, the Iguanodon gathers from its melee attack. It harvests Berries, Mushrooms, Rare Flowers, Seeds, Fiber, Cactus Sap, and Wood at 10× efficiency. Notable resources include Mejoberry, Narcoberry, Stimberry, and Rare Flower. It is ideal for rapid collection of plant-based supplies.
The Iguanodon takes +120% damage from Instant HurtDinos, making it highly vulnerable to creature-based attacks. It is resistant to fire, taking 60% less damage. Explosions and melee attacks with piercing properties are especially dangerous. Level Health and Melee Damage.

The Iguanodon gathers Berries, Seeds, and Fiber at 10× the normal rate. It harvests Wood at 10× efficiency, making it excellent for lumber runs. Its high vulnerability to Instant HurtDinos means it should avoid combat. Use it under the protection of tankier mounts. It can be carried by Argentavis for aerial logistics. Its fire resistance makes it suitable for volcanic zones.
