Boss
The Ice Titan is a massive boss creature with a special passive taming mechanic. It is tamed by removing corruption from its body rather than through traditional feeding or knockout methods. Once tamed, it serves as a temporary mount for 24 hours, providing immense power and durability in combat or structure destruction. It comes equipped with a Platform Saddle, which must be operated from a separate cockpit station.
This creature is tamable and breedable, and it can damage structures. Its primary utility lies in siege operations and boss engagements where its high Health and damage output are most effective.
Ice Titan does not currently spawn on any ARK: Survival Ascended map, or spawn data is not yet available.
Taming an Ice Titan uses the special passive method, requiring players to target and eliminate the corruption on its body. Direct attacks on the Titan itself reduce taming effectiveness, so focus must remain on the corrupted areas only. The process does not involve traditional taming foods or narcotics.
Titans come with a Platform Saddle already equipped, but they must be piloted from a dedicated cockpit interface. Taming lasts for a temporary duration of 24 hours. Use the calculator below for your settings.
For taming an Ice Titan, your primary goal is to eliminate the corruption present on its body. Aim directly at the corruption to prevent a drop in taming effectiveness that occurs when the Titan is harmed. It’s worth noting that Titans already come with a Platform Saddle, but they need to be operated from a distinct cockpit. Remember, Titans can only be tamed for a temporary period of 24 hours.
Killing an Ice Titan yields Ice Titan Trophy, Hide, Raw Meat, Corrupted Nodule, Raw Prime Meat, and Pelt. The Hatchet provides the highest yields for Hide, Corrupted Nodule, and Pelt, while Raw Prime Meat is best harvested using a dinosaur capable of prime harvesting. The Pick maximizes Raw Meat output.
Estimates based on game-extracted data (weights, quantities, harvest multipliers, damage type chains). Each harvest event independently rolls each resource - higher weight = higher drop chance. Actual yields vary with RNG.
The Ice Titan has notable resistances and vulnerabilities. It takes -80% damage from Melee DmgMetal TekSword and Ranged Turret Small DefensePlant attacks, making it highly resilient against standard turrets and metal weapons. Conversely, it is vulnerable to explosions, taking +300% damage from Explosion Demolition Siege and +200% from Explosion TekProjectile Missile. Melee attacks from a Tek Sword also exploit a +160% weakness.

The Ice Titan's corruption must be targeted directly during taming to maintain effectiveness.
It can only be tamed temporarily, with ownership lasting exactly 24 hours.
The Titan comes equipped with a Platform Saddle but requires a separate cockpit to operate.
Explosion-based damage, especially Siege and Tek missiles, deals massive damage to it and should be avoided in defense.
Melee attacks using a Tek Sword are significantly more effective due to a +160% damage modifier.
