Boss
Grendel is a massive carnivorous boss creature. It possesses the ability to spawn minions and utilize camouflage, making it a persistent threat in combat scenarios. The creature can be airlifted by Tusoteuthis for strategic repositioning during boss fights.
It is primarily encountered as a challenging boss encounter rather than a tamed mount or utility creature.
Grendel does not currently spawn on any ARK: Survival Ascended map, or spawn data is not yet available.

Grendel takes +400% more damage from spike walls, making them extremely effective for area denial and defensive setups. It is also highly vulnerable to explosions and melee attacks from metal weapons. Conversely, it is fully immune to mining drill damage and takes reduced damage from ranged turrets and certain projectile-based attacks.

The Spawn Minions ability summons additional combatants every 30 seconds. Clearing these quickly prevents overwhelming numbers.
Grendel's Claw Shred deals 400 damage in close range with a rapid 0.25-second cooldown. Maintain distance to avoid burst damage.
