Giant Bee

Overview
The Giant Bee is a small flying carnivore variant. It excels at harvesting Honey and Beeswax while ridden, making it a specialized gatherer for beekeeping operations. It can be airlifted by Quetzal or Argentavis for fast deployment.
This creature is primarily used to efficiently farm bee-related resources from Bee Hives and other insects.
Spawn Locations
Giant Bee does not currently spawn on any ARK: Survival Ascended map, or spawn data is not yet available.
Taming
Taming a Giant Bee requires knockout via ranged weapons. Use Tranq Darts from a Longneck Rifle or Tranq Arrows from a Crossbow to sedate it. Immobilize it first with a Chain Bola or Bear Trap to prevent escape.
The best food is Raw Mutton, which provides the fastest taming affinity. Raw Prime Meat also works well. Taming takes about 15 minutes. Use the calculator below for your settings.
Giant Bee is not tamable.
Damage Resistances
The Giant Bee has a strong vulnerability to melee attacks involving chitin or poison, taking +600% more damage from such sources. It also takes +120% more damage from instant-damage effects. Explosions are highly effective, dealing +50% more damage. Use ranged explosives or poisoned melee weapons to exploit these weaknesses.

The bite and sting attacks both deal 8 damage with a 0.3-second cooldown. Use these in close combat when necessary.
