Each hit on a node generates resource drops. The game randomly picks a resource from the loot table for each drop. Higher melee depletes the node faster, which can reduce total drops. The "best" melee is where you get the most drops.

What you get harvesting corpses with Equus

Corpse Harvest Calculator

Compare dino harvest yields from creature corpses. Select a corpse and up to 3 harvesters to compare.

Equus isn't used to harvest meat or hide from corpses.

Check the node yields above to see what it gathers from resource nodes.

The Equus, a tamable, herbivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended, is a common sight across multiple maps. It falls within the Breeding classification.

Its base Stamina of 560 gives it solid stamina reserves. Dealing 100% base Melee Damage, the Equus brings decent hitting power to the table. At 240 base HP, the Equus is relatively fragile. Weight capacity starts at 350, giving it generous inventory space.

The Equus is passively tamed - approach it carefully and feed it by hand without knocking it out. Its preferred food is Rockarrot.

Once tamed, the Equus is valued for its harvesting efficiency, collecting key resources faster than most tools. A wild Equus is worth 1 base experience when killed. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.44 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
