Found throughout the ARKs, the Diplocaulus is a tamable, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It falls within the Water classification. Its base Stamina of 165 gives it average stamina. Dealing 100% base Melee Damage, the Diplocaulus brings respectable melee power to the table. At 250 base HP, the Diplocaulus is not particularly tanky. It carries 150 base Weight - modest carrying capacity. You'll need to knock the Diplocaulus unconscious before taming it. Tranquilizers are the standard approach. Feed it Simple Kibble for the fastest tame and highest effectiveness bonus. Once tamed, the Diplocaulus is valued for its harvesting efficiency, collecting key resources faster than most tools. It reproduces by laying eggs, which must be incubated between -75°C and 75°C. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.4 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
