Carcharodontosaurus Egg & Breeding Calculator

After a successful mate, the Carcharodontosaurus lays a fertilized egg. Incubation temperature must stay between 37°C and 39°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 2 days and 1 hour.

Full maturation from baby to adult takes ~10 days and 3 hours (1x rate), progressing over many real-world days, demanding serious time investment. Hand-feeding is required until 10% maturation. After that, a Feeding Trough handles the rest.

Each baby inherits stats from both parents with a chance of mutation - +2 wild levels to a random stat plus a color change. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.

Maturation has three phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~1464 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~98h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~122h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.

Imprint bonuses are significant: a fully imprinted Carcharodontosaurus gains 30% extra damage and damage resistance with its imprinter mounted. You'll be asked to cuddle, walk, or feed specific kibble at regular intervals during maturation.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.

The Carcharodontosaurus is a tamable, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It belongs to the DMG category.

At 70,000 base HP, the Carcharodontosaurus is extraordinarily tanky. Melee starts at 100% - respectable melee power that scales with level-ups. With 480 base Stamina, the Carcharodontosaurus has good endurance. It carries 650 base Weight - massive inventory space.

Once tamed, the Carcharodontosaurus pulls double duty as both a capable resource harvester and pack animal. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 37°C–39°C temperature window.
