The raising calculator above shows exactly how much food you need for each maturation phase of the Carbonemys. Expect ~139 minutes of active care during the Baby phase before it graduates to trough-feeding as a Juvenile.
The multiplier feature helps plan large-scale Carbonemys raises by totaling food across all babies. Different food types have different spoil timers - factor that into which food you stockpile.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.
Breeding the Carbonemys produces fertilized eggs that require careful temperature control. Incubation temperature must stay between 30°C and 34°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 1 hour and 14 minutes.
The baby Carbonemys takes approximately 23 hours and 8 minutes to fully mature at default rates - over the course of several hours. The most labor-intensive part is the baby phase (0–10% maturation) when it can't use a Feeding Trough yet.
Each baby inherits stats from both parents with a chance of mutation - +2 wild levels to a random stat plus a color change. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
The Carbonemys's growth progresses through three stages: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~139 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~9h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~12h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Imprinting during maturation provides permanent stat bonuses. At 100% imprint, the Carbonemys gains 30% bonus damage and resistance when ridden by the imprinter. Keep various kibble types on hand, as imprint requests are randomized between cuddles, walks, and kibble feeding.
Found throughout the ARKs, the Carbonemys is a tamable, herbivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It belongs to the Soaker category.
With 100% base Melee Damage, the Carbonemys has decent hitting power. The Carbonemys has 700 base Health - impressively tough. With 200 base Stamina, the Carbonemys has average stamina. Weight capacity starts at 270, giving it good carrying capacity.
Taming the Carbonemys requires rendering it unconscious first - use Tranq Arrows, Darts, or Shocking Tranq Darts to apply torpor. Regular Kibble is the most effective food for taming, offering the highest affinity per feeding.
After taming, the Carbonemys is valued for its harvesting efficiency, collecting key resources faster than most tools. It reproduces by laying eggs, which must be incubated between 30°C and 34°C. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.64 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
