Overview

The Attack Drone is a boss creature with a carnivorous diet. It excels in aerial combat and can damage structures, making it a potent raiding mount. This flyer is primarily tamed for its ability to deal high damage to other dinos and structures while remaining highly mobile in the air.

It can be immobilized with a Bola or Bear Trap during taming, enabling safe knockout procedures.

Spawn Locations

Attack Drone does not currently spawn on any ARK: Survival Ascended map, or spawn data is not yet available.

Taming

The Attack Drone must be knocked out before taming. Use a Bola or Bear Trap to immobilize it, then apply sedatives with ranged weapons such as Tranq Arrows or Tranq Darts. The best food is Superior Kibble, which provides the fastest taming affinity. Raw Mutton also works well if kibble is unavailable.

Damage Resistances

The Attack Drone has a strong vulnerability to explosions and projectiles, taking +50% more damage from both. It also suffers +120% damage from dino-based melee attacks, making it highly susceptible to raiding parties. Conversely, it is highly resistant to mining drill damage, reducing it by -100%, and takes reduced damage from turret fire and certain melee impacts.

Hitbox Multipliers

The Attack Drone has increased damage multipliers on specific hit zones. The l_Ring, r_Ring, l_Arm_01_03, and r_Arm_01_03 each take 1.5× damage, making them ideal targets for focused attacks during combat or taming.

Attack Drone Tips & Tricks

The RangedAttack deals 28 damage at 60 meters, making it effective for picking off distant targets. The Bite attack hits for 28 damage at close range and can quickly dispatch small creatures. The Taunt ability generates aggression at the cost of 25 damage dealt to nearby enemies. It takes +55% more damage from metal-based melee attacks, so avoid direct confrontations with high-damage raiders.
