To tame an Astrodelphis, approach it and pet it repeatedly, then feed it Element. After each feeding it swims away — chase it down and pet it again quickly or taming progress drops rapidly. Repeat the pet-feed cycle until fully tamed.
Knock the Astrodelphis unconscious using your preferred torpor weapon, then feed it to begin the taming process. Once unconscious, Torpor drains at 0.1/s, so keep Narcotics or Bio Toxin ready.

Required Narcotics
Below are the narcotic requirements for keeping the Astrodelphis sedated throughout taming. Narcotics provide 40 Torpor each and are the standard choice. Bio Toxin offers 80 Torpor but is harder to farm. Narcoberries at 7.5 each are a last resort. The Astrodelphis bleeds 0.1 Torpor/s, so keep a close eye on the bar and sedate early.
