Alpha Mosasaur Egg & Breeding Calculator

Instead of laying eggs, the Alpha Mosasaur carries its young through a gestation period. Gestation takes approximately 8 hours at default rates.

The baby Alpha Mosasaur takes approximately 7 days and 17 hours to fully mature at default rates - over an extremely long period, one of the longest in the game. During the baby phase (0–10%), hand-feed it directly. From 10% onward (juvenile), it can eat from a Feeding Trough.

Mutations can add +2 levels to any stat and change colors. Stacking mutations across generations is the key to min-maxed breeding lines. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.

The Alpha Mosasaur's growth progresses through three stages: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~1111 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~74h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~93h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.

Imprinting during maturation provides permanent stat bonuses. At 100% imprint, the Alpha Mosasaur gains 30% bonus damage and resistance when ridden by the imprinter. Keep various kibble types on hand, as imprint requests are randomized between cuddles, walks, and kibble feeding.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.

Found throughout the ARKs, the Alpha Mosasaur is an aquatic, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It falls within the Ignore classification.

The Alpha Mosasaur has 54,000 base Health - extraordinarily tanky. With 100% base Melee Damage, the Alpha Mosasaur has solid damage output. Its base Stamina of 400 gives it solid stamina reserves. Weight capacity starts at 1300, giving it massive inventory space.

The Alpha Mosasaur roams the ARK as a wild, untamable creature. Breeding is via live birth rather than eggs, simplifying the process. A wild Alpha Mosasaur is worth 1600 base experience when killed. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.88 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
