Alpha Basilisk
The Alpha Basilisk reproduces by laying fertilized eggs after mating. Incubation temperature must stay between 32°C and 38°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 6 hours and 14 minutes.
The baby Alpha Basilisk takes approximately 7 days and 17 hours to fully mature at default rates - over many real-world days, demanding serious time investment. During the baby phase (0–10%), hand-feed it directly. From 10% onward (juvenile), it can eat from a Feeding Trough.
Mutations can add +2 levels to any stat and change colors. Stacking mutations across generations is the key to min-maxed breeding lines. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
Raising a baby Alpha Basilisk involves three maturation phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~1111 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~74h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~93h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Don't skip imprinting - each successful imprint boosts the Alpha Basilisk's stats, and hitting 100% grants a 30% combat bonus when the imprinter rides it. Imprint requests include cuddling, walks, and specific kibble - check the wiki for which kibble to stockpile.

Planning a mass raise? The Alpha Basilisk raising calculator breaks down food needs per phase so nothing goes to waste. Expect ~1111 minutes of active care during the Baby phase before it graduates to trough-feeding as a Juvenile.
Adjust the dino count to calculate food for multiple Alpha Basilisk babies at once - essential for batch breeding operations. Match your food choice to your play schedule - longer spoil timers mean less babysitting.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.
ARK: Survival Ascended features the Alpha Basilisk as a carnivore creature that survivors will encounter in the wild. Classified under the Ignore group.
Starting at 19,500 Health, it's one of the toughest creatures in the game. Its base Melee Damage sits at 100%, giving it solid damage output. Its base Stamina of 650 gives it outstanding staying power. A base Weight of 800 means an enormous weight pool.
The Alpha Basilisk cannot be tamed and must be dealt with through combat or avoidance. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 32°C–38°C temperature window. Killing a wild Alpha Basilisk yields 800 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.78 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
