Acrocanthosaurus Egg & Breeding Calculator

Breeding the Acrocanthosaurus produces fertilized eggs that require careful temperature control. Incubation temperature must stay between 43°C and 44°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 4 hours and 59 minutes.

The baby Acrocanthosaurus takes approximately 3 days and 20 hours to fully mature at default rates - over many real-world days, demanding serious time investment. The most labor-intensive part is the baby phase (0–10% maturation) when it can't use a Feeding Trough yet.

Each baby inherits stats from both parents with a chance of mutation - +2 wild levels to a random stat plus a color change. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.

The hatched dinosaur, now a baby, needs constant attention and food placed directly in its inventory to survive, or a nearby Maewing to take care of its needs.

The dinosaur reaches the juvenile stage, where it can now eat from a feeding trough, reducing the need for direct feeding.

23:08:53
The dinosaur reaches the adolescent stage, becoming more independent and able to follow you while continuing to grow toward full maturity.

The Acrocanthosaurus's growth progresses through three stages: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~556 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~37h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~46h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.

Imprinting during maturation provides permanent stat bonuses. At 100% imprint, the Acrocanthosaurus gains 30% bonus damage and resistance when ridden by the imprinter. Keep various kibble types on hand, as imprint requests are randomized between cuddles, walks, and kibble feeding.

The raising calculator above shows exactly how much food you need for each maturation phase of the Acrocanthosaurus. Expect ~556 minutes of active care during the Baby phase before it graduates to trough-feeding as a Juvenile.

The multiplier feature helps plan large-scale Acrocanthosaurus raises by totaling food across all babies. Different food types have different spoil timers - factor that into which food you stockpile.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.

Found throughout the ARKs, the Acrocanthosaurus is a tamable, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It belongs to the DMG category.

Its base Stamina of 400 gives it solid stamina reserves. With 100% base Melee Damage, the Acrocanthosaurus has decent hitting power. With 1,300 base Health, the Acrocanthosaurus is among the tougher creatures. A base Weight of 600 means excellent carrying capacity.

You'll need to knock the Acrocanthosaurus unconscious before taming it. Tranquilizers are the standard approach. For best results, use Exceptional Kibble - it gives the highest taming efficiency.

Once tamed, the Acrocanthosaurus combines solid harvesting capability with generous carrying capacity. It reproduces by laying eggs, which must be incubated between 43°C and 44°C. A wild Acrocanthosaurus is worth 35 base experience when killed. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.87 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
