Variant
The Aberrant Oviraptor reproduces by laying fertilized eggs after mating. Incubation temperature must stay between 26°C and 30°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 1 hour and 8 minutes.
Full maturation from baby to adult takes ~21 hours and 2 minutes (1x rate), progressing over the course of several hours. During the baby phase (0–10%), hand-feed it directly. From 10% onward (juvenile), it can eat from a Feeding Trough.
Offspring inherit parental stats and have a small chance to mutate, gaining +2 levels in a random stat. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
Raising a baby Aberrant Oviraptor involves three maturation phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~126 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~8h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~11h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Imprinting during maturation provides permanent stat bonuses. At 100% imprint, the Aberrant Oviraptor gains 30% bonus damage and resistance when ridden by the imprinter. You'll be asked to cuddle, walk, or feed specific kibble at regular intervals during maturation.

Use the raising calculator to plan food requirements for raising Aberrant Oviraptor babies through all three growth stages. Budget ~126 minutes for the Baby phase - this is when hand-feeding or Maewing nursing is mandatory.
Adjust the dino count to calculate food for multiple Aberrant Oviraptor babies at once - essential for batch breeding operations. Consider food spoilage when choosing what to feed: Kibble lasts days, while Raw Meat spoils in minutes.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.
Found throughout the ARKs, the Aberrant Oviraptor is a tamable, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. Classified under the Variant group.
Its base Stamina of 120 gives it tires quickly. Dealing 106% base Melee Damage, the Aberrant Oviraptor brings decent hitting power to the table. At 134 base HP, the Aberrant Oviraptor is glass-cannon fragile. Weight capacity starts at 100, giving it modest carrying capacity.
You'll need to knock the Aberrant Oviraptor unconscious before taming it. Tranquilizers are the standard approach. For best results, use Extraordinary Dinosaur Egg - it gives the highest taming efficiency.
Once tamed, the Aberrant Oviraptor earns its keep through resource gathering, making tedious farming runs much faster. It reproduces by laying eggs, which must be incubated between 26°C and 30°C. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.6 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
