Instead of laying eggs, the Aberrant Achatina carries its young through a gestation period. Gestation takes approximately 8 hours at default rates.

The baby Aberrant Achatina takes approximately 3 days and 20 hours to fully mature at default rates - over many real-world days, demanding serious time investment. During the baby phase (0–10%), hand-feed it directly. From 10% onward (juvenile), it can eat from a Feeding Trough.

Mutations can add +2 levels to any stat and change colors. Stacking mutations across generations is the key to min-maxed breeding lines. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.

The Aberrant Achatina's growth progresses through three stages: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~556 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~37h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~46h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.

Imprint bonuses are significant: a fully imprinted Aberrant Achatina gains 30% extra damage and damage resistance with its imprinter mounted. Imprint requests include cuddling, walks, and specific kibble - check the wiki for which kibble to stockpile.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.

ARK: Survival Ascended features the Aberrant Achatina as a tamable, herbivore creature that survivors will encounter in the wild. Classified under the Variant group.

Its base Melee Damage sits at 106%, giving it solid damage output. Starting at 72 Health, it's glass-cannon fragile. With 100 base Stamina, the Aberrant Achatina has low stamina reserves. Weight capacity starts at 60, giving it very limited carrying capacity.

To tame the Aberrant Achatina, you need to knock it unconscious using torpor weapons, then feed it while it's down. Feed it Sweet Vegetable Cake for the fastest tame and highest effectiveness bonus.

After taming, the Aberrant Achatina is valued for its harvesting efficiency, collecting key resources faster than most tools. It gives live birth after a gestation period, making breeding straightforward. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.69 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
